This is a shot of Ninth Avenue down by W. 34 Street. It turns into a race of yellow cabs on a daily basis.

Thanks Bear!
Unfortunately, yeah, there was quite a bit of post processing between increasing the saturation so the yellow would pop and applying a technique called Tilt-Shift which added the blur to the background and a small slice in the right corner. The technique, with the right composition, looks to make a photo of a life size object and a large depth of field appear like a macro photo with a smaller depth of field.
While this is a poor example of this effect actually working… I found the way they do the technique interesting so I was playing around with it on a few photos, with this one being one I liked.

As long as I’m not in the street when they’re racing I enjoy watching the race too…
Post-processing or not, a spectacular shot.
Poppys last blog post..I really thought I gained 10 lbs this weekend.
